La flota participante, compuesta por embarcaciones de distintos clubes náuticos del Campo de Gibraltar y la zona del Estrecho, volverá a medirse en una jornada que se prevé tan técnica como espectacular. Esta cita será decisiva de cara a la recta final del campeonato, que ha contado hasta el momento con una alta participación y muy buenos niveles de competitividad y deportividad.
El Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club, organizador de esta prueba, ya cuenta con todos los permisos necesarios para el desarrollo del evento, y se encuentra ultimando los preparativos para recibir a las tripulaciones con su habitual hospitalidad.
Desde la organización se anima a todos los equipos a confirmar su participación lo antes posible y se recuerda que se mantendrán los horarios y formato originalmente previstos para la prueba cancelada.
El Campeonato Interclubs del Estrecho y la Asociación para el Fomento de la Vela en el Estrecho de Gibraltar cuentan con la organización de 9 clubes participantes, así como con el apoyo institucional y de patrocinadores que hacen posible esta iniciativa, la cual promueve la vela en la región y estrecha lazos entre ambas orillas. Además, el Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club animará a la flota a regresar a finales de julio, ya que volverá a organizar la Corona Gibraltar Regatta, la mítica «Round the Rock».
The Strait Interclubs Championship resumes competition on July 5 in Gibraltar
Next Saturday, July 5, the Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club will host the sixth race of the 2025 Strait Interclubs Championship, which resumes its calendar after the cancellation of the race scheduled for June 7 due to lack of wind.
The participating fleet, made up of boats from various yacht clubs across the Campo de Gibraltar and the Strait area, will once again compete in a race day expected to be as technical as it is spectacular. This event will be a key moment as the championship heads into its final stretch, which so far has seen high participation and excellent levels of competitiveness and sportsmanship.
The Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club, organizer of this event, already has all the necessary permits for the race and is finalizing preparations to welcome crews with its signature hospitality.
The organization encourages all teams to confirm their participation as soon as possible and reminds them that the schedules and format originally planned for the canceled race will be maintained.
The Strait Interclubs Championship and the Association for the Promotion of Sailing in the Strait of Gibraltar are organized by nine participating clubs and supported by institutions and sponsors who make this initiative possible—an initiative that promotes sailing in the region and strengthens ties between both shores. In addition, the Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club will invite the fleet to return at the end of July, as it will once again host the iconic Corona Gibraltar Regatta, the legendary «Round the Rock.»
